Scott Roberts LA Workshop #1
Thoughts....
I was so excited to see familiar faces yesterday during the workshop! Saw Orange Turtle Photography (Cindy and Daniel), Linda Tamarpirat, Tauran Photography, as well as mutual acquaintances. Good times!
As usual, I want to document some key learnings from the whole thing:
- See the light...use the light!
- Posing...make it simple and change it up by creating different emotions.
- Capture beauty...find the sweet spot. This is something I need to learn more of.
- Your subject will mirror and reflect your energy. - Scott Roberts Lim
- When setting up a picture, there are many things to consider. So take in to account all of the elements to what makes a great picture. I have to be more patient and not rush shots. I rather have one great picture than a few mediocre ones.
- How I create light can give me my own unique brand.
- Creating shadows by manipulating light will create a powerful shot
- Flash is controlled by aperture not by shutter speed.
- Models make shoots easy. However, it's not always going to be that easy.
Here's a few pictures. Thanks to Megan Bibbo and Nica Gevalt for being such great models for the shoot!
Cheers!
